About Me

I love being apart of such a big family! Ever since I can remember, I was always the one to grab the camera, or the old video recorder, during any family event & document every. single. moment. of what I thought were the best times of my life! I craved to capture every memory so I could always look back upon them and smile! Some of the best memories from my childhood were my family and I  all snuggled up on the couch together, laughing or crying, looking through old albums of pictures or watching our old home videos! My brothers still tease me about the time I recorded Christmas with the video recorder upside down or the moment my mother decided to grab the camera instead of helping me out of the pampers box I fell into!!

 

My role as "Auntie Elena" doesn't come in the proper definition, as I have no nieces or nephews of my own. This title of "Auntie" comes more culturally, as I have rooted my sense of self in family and the supportive role I have played throughout my life. Navigating the world thus far, my family has tremendously grown, from the East coast of the United States in Boston, Massachusetts, to the West coast in Los Angeles, California and also to my favorite, a small town called Koloa on the Island of Kaua'i, Hawaii!

As much as you can feel lost in a huge family, it's the big or small moments you remember and can look back upon that mean the most! And now through my work I can offer these kinds of moments to you and your loved ones!

I like to think of my career as one big learning experience, that grows throughout each new project and beauty I get to photograph. I am hopeful my focus to detail and dedication to intention will be a great vehicle for capturing those special occasions and creating beautiful memories.
